Five Six Pick Up Sticks (part 2)

Playing when we got back from our first family vacation!

 Week 19 Images-

Turning five months meant starting solid foods for Mont-Man! He was a big fan from his first bite of rice cereal. He has been introduced to a variety of fruits and vegetables. In addition we have started to expose him to the sippy cup.

 Week 20 Pics!

Visiting the Saunders/Brown family! We finally have been outnumbered by the kiddos!

Week 21 Pics!

Monty and I had a lot of fun preparing for Father's Day! We had some arts and crafts time together to make special present for his Grandpa and daddy!
Grandpa, Memaw, and Sue Sue (still pushing the name!) came over for a cook out! Chris got to sleep in that morning as an additional bonus!

Weeks 22 and 23~ He is a growing boy!!

The month of June had Chris traveling for work pretty regularly. That meant that I was alone with Monty a bit!
One of his traveling opportunities went over a weekend so I took that as an opportunity to visit with my sister. It is quite a travel experience to leave my house and arrive at her- so I have only seen her a few times this year. Only a crazy woman would travel five hours in the car with a young child without breaks! Especially when my parents home is at the halfway point… It just makes good sense to stop there for the night!! It breaks up the travel and Monty barely notices it as he typically can sleep between my house and their house. Similarly he can sleep away the trip between Nana and Pop Pop's house while on the way to Aunt Anna's house.
It was so wonderful getting to visit with nephews Luke and Henry! Since Monty has been born Anna and I have not had as many opportunities to visit or talk to each other. We are just very busy mommies! Luke was an amazing big brother and cousin to the babies. He was so attentive and playful with them. He wanted to make sure all the babies were loved and happy! Henry was such a chill baby! He didn't need naps but remained a pleasure to be around. It was a busy few days (what else can you do besides meals and naps?!?) but it is worth it to get the kids together.
On Saturday and Sheila was able to come visit from Charleston. It was very special for her to meet Henry and Monty both! And of course Luke loved the extra adult attention!

On 4 July we went to a cook out at Stefanie and Shawn's house. They provided awesome food and a baby friendly environment! Monty and Eli had a great time playing together while the adults chowed down! It was also great to see Shawn's parents. It is always a pleasure to introduce my sweet baby to familiar faces!

Week 24-

 Week 25-

Only a week later Chris and I were sent to Alaska as a reward for his excellence in sales and management! It was difficult to decide to leave my baby but I knew he would be in good hands with his Nana and Memaw. The grandmothers stayed at the house and watched over our angel while we cruise to be western seaboard.
We traveled to Ketchikan, Tracy Arm Fjord, Juno, Skagway and Seattle. We saw killer whales, humpback whales, sea otters, salmon, eagles, and even a bald eagle. We kayaked, we drove a Jeep into the Yukon, we visited a Botanical Garden, we saw a glacier. We ate a four course dinner every evening, drank wine like it was water, and had the privilege of nightly room service included. Chris presented awards to his sales force (and did a fantastic job even though the task was given to him only minutes prior to speaking!) and he was given and an award. We got to socialize with some of his amazing coworkers- people that I didn't know before and friends of old!
Alaska is truly beautiful and I enjoyed all of our excursions in the Great North and Canada. I am so lucky to have witnessed such beauty… But it is nothing in comparison to the site of my sweet boy's face! Here is our six month shoot- he is getting harder to capture these days! FAST!!
